Tummo Cafe

This is a place in Thamel where I like to hangout if I have to wait for someone, they have great mint Lemonade and great food. Surrounding is very quite and they have outdoor seating too for smokers. Friendly, kind and helpful staff makes you feel like stay here more with their yummy mouth watering food. My personal favorite food here is Giardiano Pizza even though i am not a pizza person. Look of the restaurant is really nice too.

Amazing place to eat in Thamel! They have a great selection of food and a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend coming here when in the area.

A cozy and ambience enriched Cafe in Mandala Street, Thamel. Absolute quietness, friendly staff and tempting foods. The sitting areas in the terrace is great where you can enjoy your chilled beer (may be with some smokes ;), good food and watching the movements around. They've managed the space so well. Here are some of my suggestions ; -extra charge for visa payment sounds inappropriate. - Draught beer is bit expensive Happy that they don't charge 13% extra vat. Price is reasonable compared to similar properties in Thamel. If you're against loud music and restaurant crowd in Thamel, this is an ideal place for you. Highly Recommend for couples and small group of friends :)

Great overall experience at the Tummo Cafe. The place itself is beautiful, located off a busy street in Kathmandu. The sitting area is confortable with places for groups but also really intimate for couples. I was alone and I really enjoyed the privacy and relaxing time with the outside fountain. The menu has a good selection of items. Multiples can be made vegan. The staff was more than accommodating with my questions since I don't eat animal products. They made the pizza vegan by removing cheese and adding more veggies. I had the fresh mint lemonade that came in a big glass. Really good, not too sweet and oh so refreshing. I removed a star since twice I needed something and I had to go inside since the staff were all together chatting. I get that I was the only customer in the restaurant and they were enjoying their down time, but still... Should have to come to them to get stuff.

Nice. So we were looking for a caffeine hit, & nearby pumpernickel was full with singles on tables with laptops... So wandered up mandala & found this cute, french styled place. Again the outside tables were taken with backpackers nursing a tea. Inside is fine The coffee is good, but as we discovered almost always in Nepal you need a double shot. Service is ok. The menu is extensive, and worth a try, mostly western.
